Born in Colombia and educated in Vienna, Daniel Rueda Blanco enjoys an active life as conductor, pianist and arranger; working on a wide range of repertoire and having a special interest in modern and contemporary music. Daniel is the designated Assistant Conductor of the Aarhus Symfoniorkester (Denmark) for the 2022/23 Season and Chief Conductor of the Orchestra of the Musikverein St. Pölten (Austria).
Daniel works regularly with orchestras in Europe, Asia and South America –most recently with the Webern Kammerphilharmonie, Theater Magdeburg, the Vienna Radio Symphony Orchestra and the Wiener Symphoniker. Among several international conducting awards, Daniel is Laureate of the X. International Conducting Competition Jeunesses Musicales Bucharest 2019. Daniel is since 2021 Conducting Fellow of the Forum Dirigieren des Deutschen Musikrats.

Daniel Rueda Blanco conducts the Webern Kammerphilharmonie with Soprano Anna Nekhames -both stepping-in for Daniela Fally and Roger Díaz- for the Opera Gala Je veux vivre: An event in cooperation with the Hainburger Haydngesellschaft and the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna, featuring works by Mozart, Rossini, Bellini, Gounod and Strauss.

A glimpse of "Figaro gets a Divorce": The opera by Elena Langer with Libretto by Sir David Pountney and arranged for chamber orchestra by Daniel Rueda Blanco saw its German premiere at the Theater Magdeburg, conducted by Svetoslav Borisov and assisted by Daniel Rueda Blanco.
