Born in Colombia and educated in Vienna, Daniel Rueda Blanco enjoys an active life as conductor, pianist and arranger; working on a wide range of repertoire and having a special interest in modern and contemporary music -debuting in 2019 with the Ensemble PHACE (Austria). Daniel is the current Chief Conductor of the Orchestra of the Musikverein St. Pölten (Austria), and since 2021 Conducting Fellow of the Dirigentenforum des Deutschen Musikrats.

 

Daniel works regularly with orchestras in Europe, Asia and South America –most recently with the musicians of the Wiener Symphoniker and the Slovenian Philharmonic Orchestra. Among several international conducting awards, Daniel is Laureate of the X. International Conducting Competition Jeunesses Musicales Bucharest 2019.

Daniel Rueda Blanco -among selected conductors of the MDW University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna- participates in a Masterclass with Andrés Orozco-Estrada and the musicians of the Wiener Symphoniker in the Konzerthaus Vienna, working on Beethoven's Fifth Symphony.

A glimpse at Gounod's grand opera Romeo et Juliette: A production of the Theater Magdeburg (Germany),  arranged for chamber orchestra by Daniel Rueda Blanco and conducted by Svetoslav Borisov; premiered on the 3rd of October 2020.
