Born in Colombia and educated in Vienna, Daniel Rueda Blanco enjoys an active life as conductor, pianist and arranger; working on a wide range of repertoire and having a special interest in modern and contemporary music. Recently Daniel served as the Assistant Conductor of the Aarhus Symfoniorkester (Denmark) for the 2022/23 Season.
Daniel works regularly with orchestras in Europe, Asia and South America –most recently with the Medellín Philharmonic, the Neubrandemburger Philharmonie, the Webern Kammerphilharmonie, and the Vienna Radio Symphony Orchestra. Among several international conducting awards, Daniel is Laureate of the X. International Conducting Competition Jeunesses Musicales Bucharest 2019. Daniel is since 2021 Conducting Fellow of the Forum Dirigieren des Deutschen Musikrats.
