Born in Colombia and educated in Vienna, Daniel Rueda Blanco enjoys an active life as conductor, pianist and arranger; working on a wide range of repertoire and having a special interest in modern and contemporary music. Daniel currently serves as the Assistant Conductor of the Aarhus Symfoniorkester (Denmark) for the 2022/23 Season.
Daniel works regularly with orchestras in Europe, Asia and South America –most recently with the Neubrandemburger Philharmonie, the Webern Kammerphilharmonie, the Vienna Radio Symphony Orchestra and the Wiener Symphoniker. Among several international conducting awards, Daniel is Laureate of the X. International Conducting Competition Jeunesses Musicales Bucharest 2019. Daniel is since 2021 Conducting Fellow of the Forum Dirigieren des Deutschen Musikrats.

Daniel conducts his Farewell Concert with the Musikverein St. Pölten 1837, featuring baroque repertoire from Latin America and mezzosoprano Neelam Brader. Since 2019, Daniel had been Chief Conductor of the orchestra. From 2023, the position will be taken by Andrés Uribe.

Daniel Rueda Blanco makes his conducting debut with the Aarhus Symfoniorkester (Denmark) with the program "Bravo Beethoven!", featuring Jens Andersen (Narrator) and Emil Dalgaard (Piano). Daniel is the Assistant Conductor of the orchestra for the 2022/2023 season.

Among young conductors, Daniel participates in the Masterclass offered by Andrés Orozco-Estrada and the Escuela Superior de Música Reina Sofía (Madrid). Here in the closing concert with the Orquesta de Cámara Freixenet, Daniel conducts the 1st movement of Belá Bartók's Divertimento.
