Born in Colombia and educated in Vienna, Daniel Rueda Blanco enjoys an active life as conductor, pianist and arranger; working on a wide range of repertoire and having a special interest in modern and contemporary music -working recently with MAM.manufaktur für aktuelle musik, Festival Carinthischer Sommer and Ensemble PHACE-. Daniel is the current Chief Conductor of the Orchestra of the Musikverein St. Pölten (Austria), and since 2021 Conducting Fellow of the Forum Dirigieren des Deutschen Musikrats.


Daniel works regularly with orchestras in Europe, Asia and South America –most recently with the Vienna Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Wiener Symphoniker and the Slovenian Philharmonic Orchestra. An experienced arranger, he is currently active as an arranger at the Theater Magdeburg (Germany). Among several international conducting awards, Daniel is Laureate of the X. International Conducting Competition Jeunesses Musicales Bucharest 2019.

Daniel Rueda Blanco conducts the Musikverein St. Pölten 1837 for a special Christmas Recording in St. Pölten's historic baroque hall "Sommerrefektorium". The programme features works by Mozart, Bach, Sibelius, Svoboda and Humperdinck.
